The program manager's primary responsibility is making sure that the 3P app catalog is ready(compatible) for the new launches of Fire device (TV), system updates(OTA), and security patches updates etc. In certain cases technical features can get added/deprecated, so PM need to ensure even in these cases that 3P apps are compatible. Program Manager, will lead and define the charter, scope, policies and work with stakeholders to ensure successful launches and completion of critical programs required to manage our store/devices. The key role is in increasing content selection and helping Amazon build great devices for its customers.
• Partner with other Amazon teams on upcoming new devices
• Define the strategy/any changes in strategy required for content ingestion keeping changes/items coming up in launch calendars
• Define the strategy for processing, publishing, and maintaining apps catalog for devices
