The Role:
The Planning Manager is responsible for all activities related to materials management from forecasts to delivery including day-to-day communication and management of OEM partners, as it relates to planning and order fulfillment. This person has a business orientation and is responsible for working within the local and remote Operations team driving planning and order fulfillment. In this role, you will:
- Drive solutions to reduce and eliminate any gaps in plans preventing meeting order schedule, including assisting in sourcing materials as required
- Schedule and host meetings with manufacturing partners in U.S. and/or globally as required, reducing and eliminating shortages
- Manage production planning
- Coordinate forecast with corporate, develop build plan and communicate to all required parties
- Verify fulfillment of build/ship
- Plan and solve any roadblocks to meeting plan
- Work with finance and other teams to monitor and report budget
- Act as the primary liaison between the OEM and team in Sunnyvale monitoring, managing and driving the OEM to assure goals/schedule is being met
- Be responsible for report generation and distribution
- Represent the planning organization in internal program meetings

We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Assurance Technician to join our data collection team. The ideal candidate will be flexible, detail-oriented, and skilled at working with internal customers (Hardware, Software, Product teams) for data collection tool testing and provide technical support to data collection teams. As a QAT on the team, you will champion the quality of our features in our development pipeline using both automated and manual tests, reporting and verifying defects, and signing-off on features and release candidates
Your role includes:
- Travel to different locations in bay area and others to support data collection
- Running test cases on devices – such as executing use case scenario based testing.
- Test data collection tool for new software builds and releases
- Write, read, run, and enhance scripts in collaboration with Software teams
- Work with hardware and software teams to create test plans and test cases
- Execute test cases in the field and interpret and report testing results, and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process
- Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution
- Support data collection projects including setup and verification of all system components, trouble-shooting during set-up and live sessions, and ensure data integrity and upload, metrics reporting tasks and processes, and document best practices
- Provide technical support to the field operation team.
- Apply knowledge of wireless and networking technologies, mobile devices, and quality assurance practices to ensure that connected devices meet all target requirements
- Gaining knowledge of the features and detailed functional requirements of the work well enough to execute your assigned tests

Role:
Amazon is seeking a highly motivated Data Collection Lead (DCL) to join our growing data collection team. The DCL will need to learn quickly and execute the collection procedure accurately and capture and document any needed information associated to data.
The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, communicate clearly, and lead other Data Collection Associates. S/He should be able to contribute to improvements in data collection projects by identifying any issues and proposing enhancements in tools and working on continuous improvement of collection protocol and process. Passion for data, efficiency, and accuracy as well as proactive behavior in addressing issues and problems is a huge plus. Prior experience managing people by influence and/or working directly with temporary staff is a plus.
Primary responsibilities:
· Be an expert in the data collection processes
· Troubleshoot and triage any technical issues during the collections and report as needed
· Continuously evaluate existing tools and processes for temporary employee training and task management, and propose solutions to invent and simplify for efficiency and high-quality
· Deliver high quality work under tight deadlines handling ambiguity
· Manage day-to-day operations of the collections including logistics, resource/equipment planning, onsite vendor management, and reporting
· Partner closely with Program Managers with minimum guidance on protocol/process development and schedule for existing and future collections
· Communicate internally or externally to identify issues and propose solutions for long term sustainability of processes
· Support several projects at one time and be able to reprioritize as needed
