    Senior Program Manager:
    Amazon Lab126 is an inventive research and development company that designs and engineers high-profile consumer electronics. Lab126 began in 2004 as a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc., originally creating the best-selling Kindle family of products. Since then, we have produced groundbreaking devices like Fire tablets, Fire TV and Amazon Echo. What will you help us create?

    The Role:

    In this role as Sr. Program Manager, you will be responsible for the Product Development Process (PDP); collaborating on the development of processes and tools to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the development of devices across Amazon Lab126. In addition, you will help to support the Program Management team in guiding their programs through these processes. In this role, you will do the following to support and drive process improvement initiatives across Amazon:
    • Create process documentation: templates, tools, process maps, graphical representations, etc.
    • Lead training sessions on PDP and associated focused topics
    • Manage and facilitate recurring cross-functional discussions and document results
    • Assist with maintenance of PMO and PDP Team Collaboration wiki pages (Confluence system)
    • Maintain calendar and provide weekly report on gate reviews for key milestones in all current programs across Lab126
    • Support TPM/PM (Technical and non-technical Program Managers)
    • Develop and implement PDP efficiency and effectiveness improvements throughout the organization
    • Define and track key performance metrics for PDP

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
    • 12+ years of experience as hardware engineering project/program manager of cross-functional teams
    • 5+ years of experience with managing hardware product development lifecycles
    • Experience leading training
    • Extensive experience in process mapping, documentation and improvements

    Preferred Qualifications


    • Master’s degree in a related field
    • 5+ years of experience successfully managing complex product programs, with large, technically-savvy, cross-functional teams. Consumer electronics is a plus
    • Experience with multiple concurrent projects with aggressive schedules
    • Familiarity with Agile development methodology
    • Product lifecycle end to end management experience
    • Experience developing web-based team collaboration pages in Confluence, Share Point, etc.
    • Knowledge of end to end software and hardware development process and life-cycle

    This position will require 10% domestic travel, and may require some international travel.
