Within the Fire TV Advertising team, we help customers discover content and help Amazon lower prices.
We are looking for an experienced, customer-obsessed business leader who can also work with technical teams comprised of software development engineering, technical program managers, QA engineers, and product management. This leader will own the Fire TV experiences for named categories (e.g., Kids, Music, Local, Exercise, Foreign Language), expected first party and third party advertising revenue generated from these experiences, and actual performance through the dependent teams. They will seek input and align with peers on the customer experiences. They will look to merchandising teams to drive daily traffic on the Fire TV UI, content acquisition teams for popular first party and third party content, and advertising teams for new campaigns. The mental model is for this leader to be a Fire TV advertising evangelist (while demonstrating Ownership and Customer Obsession and understanding the broader business objectives), to fully leverage other teams where possible, and to justify additional engineering where there are remaining gaps.
This leader will also work closely with other software engineering teams, program managers, user experience designers, marketing managers, and customer service leaders as well as internal product stakeholders across the company (e.g., Prime Video, Amazon Advertising, AppStore, etc.). This role is a great fit for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, and who is sensitive to the diverse perspectives of stakeholders and works with them to resolve differences. We’re looking for customer experience-minded entrepreneurs who are passionate about innovating on behalf of customers, demonstrate a high degree of product ownership, and want to have fun while making history. It is still Day 1 in the Fire TV business, and we need a creative problem-solver with exceptional judgment and the ability to deliver business results under ambiguous circumstances and tight timelines.
The ideal candidate has a passion for TV and video entertainment combined with an established track record delivering break-out consumer software experiences.
This position is based in Seattle.
· Work effectively with product managers, designers, and business teams to define, align, justify, and deliver phenomenal customer experiences
· Work with designers and software engineers to build the customer experiences
· Own and report on status of development, quality, technical operations, system performance, and business performance
· Author annual operating plans and quarterly business reviews and lead reviews with key stakeholders
· Lead prioritization and trade-offs between customer experience, schedule, performance and cost.
· Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, roadmap, financial, and/or technical goals.
