As a Senior Hardware Engineer you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative consumer products. You will work closely with internal inter-disciplinary teams, and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution and test. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.
As part of a system team you will work alongside system integrators and technology focused engineers who are subject matter experts of their fields. You will be responsible for modeling the device power consumption in the concept stage, making design improvements to optimize system power, working with hardware/software engineers to define device power states, and perform power measurements. You will also work on system integration of different technologies in the product. You will be involved in projects from concept through production, gaining exposure to the complete design lifecycle. In this role you will: · Be part of the system EE team focusing on power modeling/optimization and system integration · Work closely with cross-functional hardware, software, and mechanical teams · Lead the power architecture for the system · Understand requirements for various system states and define hardware/software power states · Own schematics/layout and drive integration of a subsystem · Travel internationally to support engineering builds if needed
· Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field · 6+ years of experience in consumer electronics · Experience with system level design including architecture definition, circuit design, system integration and debug · Experience in modeling/characterizing power consumption in different hardware/software use cases · Experience with SoC architecture and SoC performance states
· Track record of delivering high volume consumer electronics products · Strong interpersonal skills and capability to be a key member of various cross-functional teams · Understanding of all components used in mobile devices such as SOCs, power ICs, memories and the various interfaces to other parts of the system · Strong communication and documentation skills
