    The Amazon Device Accessories team is looking for a talented, smart, experienced and entrepreneurial Product Manager to help us deliver a world-class portfolio of accessories for Amazon devices. Joining the Amazon Device Accessories team means partnering with a dynamic and creative group who set a high bar for innovation and success in a fast-paced and changing environment.

    The Product Manager will have end-to-end ownership of Amazon’s ‘Made for Amazon’ joint-development, certification, and merchandising partnership program for Amazon Device Accessories. This person will partner with the biggest brands in the consumer electronics category to design and develop unique accessories for Amazon’s current and future devices including Fire tablets, Kindle eReaders, Amazon Fire TV, and Amazon Echo. This person will also work closely with internal stakeholders at Lab 126 and in Seattle to coordinate our ‘Made for Amazon’ accessory strategy across the entire portfolio.

    We expect the Senior Product Manager to be a passionate customer and category advocate within Amazon, with proven analytical capabilities and project management skills, extreme attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task. The Senior Product Manager must be an effective negotiator, leader and communicator in working with some of Amazon’s most important partners and vendors, as well as with internal cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for product, a high level of flexibility, commitment, and a sense of humor.

    The successful Senior Product Manager must be able to:

    Act as the business owner for the ‘Made for Amazon’ program, possessing a complete understanding of internal and external variables that impact our business (this entails owning forecasting, monitoring, understanding and reporting on the category, along with responsibility for driving strategic projects and promotions to achieve business objectives).

    Develop a detailed understanding of the product development and go-to-market process for device accessories across categories and business lines, as well as the factors that drive success within each segment of our business.

    Work with a diverse group of stakeholders to ensure the successful launch of new accessory products by coordinating internally and externally the go-to-market schedule and activities, ensuring that key deliverables are available when needed, and identifying opportunities to optimize processes.

    Have a thorough understanding of the industry, seasonality and global trends/events, and continually monitor competitor/industry developments.

    Have a complete understanding of the customer needs, both existing and potential, and use that knowledge to deliver products that provide Amazon customers with an unparalleled device and accessory experience.

    Manage vendor relationships - manage supplier/partner contracts, manage day-to-day relationships, and negotiate and secure marketing funds.

    Create business plans for new opportunities and develop and execute project plans for the launch of new features, incorporating merchandising and pricing strategies.

    Coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external parties, while meeting tight deadlines.

    Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets.


    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar technical field
    • 3+ years experience in vendor/partner management in the CE/hardware category
    • Experience managing multiple projects - prioritization, planning and task delegation




    Preferred Qualifications

    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions
    • Ability to develop & drive category business strategy
    • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade offs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
    • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
