Amazon Prime Video is seeking a Software Support Engineer to join the Prime Video Partner Engineering team and work with the A-list of home entertainment manufacturers to bring Prime Video to the latest and greatest home entertainment devices. You will join a team that has already launched the Prime Video application on a wide range of living room devices from Samsung, LG and Sony amongst others. The role will involve assisting our partners on integrating and testing Prime Video client applications on large screen living room devices such as Smart TVs and Set Top Boxes. The SIE will work to deliver a superlative and high-performance experience to Prime Video customers on a growing range of new devices, as well as troubleshoot performance issues and improve the customer experience on shipping devices. You will be expected to innovate, automate and troubleshoot all aspects of Prime Video integration and verification on these supported devices. While most of the work is focused on delivering the highest possible quality experience on living room devices, a proportion of your engineering time will be dedicated to integrating and improving tools for the team to be able to move faster with device approvals. You are going to create a set of tools/services for partners leveraging your strong software development skills to make partners self-integrate Prime Video onto their devices. The learnings and engineering insights gathered while integrating the Prime Video application on partner devices will be directly fed to the product teams working to evolve Prime Video product. You will therefore play a key role in supporting the ongoing development of these software products and features from the ground up and moreover, you will have the freedom and encouragement to explore your own ideas and the reward of seeing your contributions benefit millions of Amazon customers worldwide.

Degree in Computer Science or closely related Engineering field, or equivalent work experience.
Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design.
Experience of tracing and resolving issues using logging and other support tools

Experience of working in technical on-call setup
