    We are deriving new insights from customer behavior to improve our product experience. Our technology stack is powered by Java-based services, AWS services (such as Amazon DynamoDB and Amazon EMR).

    We are looking for Software Development Engineer with a strong technical background and a passion for telemetry technologies and digital entertainment. If you were to join today, you’d get an opportunity to:
    • Expose and highlight new business insights to the Fire TV business team to help drive future product decisions;
    • Learn and use Android (optional)
    • Leverage a big data & analytics pipeline to gain insight into engagement measurement;
    • Learn big data processing optimizations, overcome big data challenges;
    • Help set the technical and product direction for the team.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
    • 3+ years of industry experience in software development
    • Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures and algorithms
    • Programming experience in, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 5+ years of industry experience in software development
    • Experience building complex, mission critical systems
    • Experience with telemetry instrumentation, backend processing, and deriving insights on user behavior from large data sets
    • Experience developing on cloud based infrastructure
    • Experience influencing software engineering best practices within your team
    • Passion for digital entertainment, including TV and Movies
