    Key Responsibilities:

    As a Sr. Software Developer in the device software organization, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate system performance, conduct the power and thermal study , and propose the best system solution for the next generation Kindle devices . You are also responsible to architect, innovate and deliver high-performance, low-power, stable system platform for world class consumer products. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open and collaborative peer environment. In this role, you will:
    • Evaluate Soc fitness and propose the proper SOC solution for next generation Amazon consumer products.
    • Collaborate with hardware and product teams in designing and delivering unique customer features for next-gen Amazon products;
    • Will work with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility.
    • Innovate and optimize for system performance and reliability;
    • Strong knowledge on Android platform software architecture.
    • Deep understanding on System performance including CPU, GPU, memory, power and thermal.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Or Master Degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field with 7+ years relevant work experience
    • 7+ years of professional experience in software development building production software systems
    • 7+ years delivering core systems and/or kernel components in C or C++
    • Experience with architect system software that meets power, performance, quality, and compliance goals.
    • Experience with Android and Linux development on kernel, device drivers, and frameworks

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Excellence in technical communication with peers.
    • Strong knowledge of kernel internals
    • Strong knowledge of system performance, power and thermal management.
    • Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered.
    • Development experience on multiple Linux platforms and mobile devices (Android, iOS).
    • Excellent knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
    • Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project.
    • Able to work closely with other developers to understand their needs and issues and to develop cooperative solutions.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
