Since then, we have produced groundbreaking devices like Fire tablets, Fire TV and Amazon Echo. What will you help us create?

This role requires strong business acumen, a keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent Excel and data mining skills. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, managing large data sets, deep dive analytics, system and process improvements and working in a matrix organization.
Primary responsibilities:
  • Partner with Operations team to drive efficiency and improved forecasting of manufacturing related expenditures (ie. supplier tooling)
  • Primary finance owner for PPV (Purchasing Price Variance) related to the manufacturing of Amazon Devices, including improving PPV process, cost-efficiency and controllership
  • Manage the annual budget and related business support for the Global Commodity Management team within Operations
  • Develop and maintain key operations metrics
  • Drive automation of related reporting and analytics

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of finance or related field
  • Experience in handling large sets of output from database and transforming it in usable format in Excel for financial modeling
  • Knowledge of Cognos, SQL data mining and business intelligence tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting Operations & Supply Chain organization and/or in consumer business
  • Knowledge of Oracle and Essbase
  • Solid communication skills – written and verbal
  • Strong analytical skills
  • MBA
