Amazon Lab126 is an inventive research and development company that designs and engineers high-profile devices like the Kindle family of products. Lab126 began in 2004 as a subsidiary of, Inc. Since then, we have worked to produce best-selling e-readers and tablets, as well as new inventions like Fire TV and Amazon Echo. What will you help us create?

The Role:

As a Senior Industrial Design Program Manager (ID PM) you will manage the development and creative execution of Amazon branded packaging and inbox documentation. You will work with Industrial Design, Marketing, Hardware Program Management, Retail Engineering Program Management, Packaging Engineering, and Global Commodity Management to ensure the necessary process steps are planned and executed, while communicating progress against target costs and schedules. In this role, you will:

  • Plan for Amazon branded product packaging initiatives
  • Own creative development schedules & coordinate execution with cross-functional teams, 3P vendors, and suppliers
  • Traffic work and assign tasks to creative resources through iMeet PM tool
  • Schedule and facilitate reviews with internal stakeholders
  • Hand off final artwork for production

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, design-related studies, or equivalent.
  • 7+ years experience in consumer electronics packaging development or equivalent
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, Program management, Project Scheduling (iMeet Central or like), Excel, Adobe AcrobatPro

Preferred Qualifications

  • Design experience with an eye for detail
  • Ability to start projects and drive to completion
  • Ability to multi-task and manage a high volume of packaging and inbox activities with constant changes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required for effective creative reviews and program management
  • Enthusiasm for getting “hands on” in collaborative team environments
  • Experience managing complex project schedules a plus
