The Team:
Join the Computer Vision / Machine Learning organization to work on innovative products, such as the recently-launched Echo Look, Echo Show or Cloud Cam. We are working on new initiatives and are looking for talented engineers to join our team.

The Role:
You have a passion to create engaging and high quality consumer experiences and products. You are a graphics developer with strong track record of building engaging experiences. You are a great communicator and are motivated to achieve results in a fast-paced, and at times ambiguous, environment.
As a Graphics Engineer, you will architect and develop a custom real-time interactive experience. You are capable both of solving difficult, low level performance, device, rendering, and platform problems, as well as inventing high level solutions to entirely new classes of problems in uncharted technology waters.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, working on multi-discipline teams.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals in design, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Strong knowledge of DirectX 11/12, OpenGL, Vulkan, or Metal.
  • Strong 3D math skills.
  • Advanced software engineering skills, including the ability to write performant, maintainable, and robust code in C++.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing graphics software in iOS or Android
  • Expertise in shader languages
  • Deep experience with graphics performance profiling and optimization
  • Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
