Job Description

We are making AWS the best place in the world to work on the cutting edge of deep learning technologies and we want your help to do it.

The Core Machine Learning team, which is the intersection of Machine Learning across all of Amazon, invites applications for Software Developers/Research Engineers. Our job is to infuse Machine Learning into all of our products. To do this, we need to have a great platform that enables all teams to easily and quickly take their data and derive insights and train models. We need you to build shared platforms and components by working with customers and partners across organizations within Amazon.

You'll be responsible for delivering solutions that are adopted internally and externally by scientists and engineers and iterating on them to continue to make them useful and relevant over time. Technologies you'll work with include: Java, Spark, Python, Deep Learning Libraries for Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs) and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Spark ML (formerly MLlib), and more.

You will work with ML Scientists to test known ML algorithms, identify their limitations and co-invent new algorithms that run in the cloud. Scalable, streaming ML algorithms are of particular interest.

You'll be part of a team of scientists, engineers and product managers to deliver on this project. The team will have full autonomy to develop a vision and roadmap and execute on it. You'll partner closely with teams in Seattle, Palo Alto, New York, Berlin, and Bangalore who also work on ML components to ensure we're delivering a cohesive, easy to use platform.
