  • Job Description

Intrigued by Alexa? Interested in creating customer experiences that touch the heart of the household? We are building one of the most personal services for Alexa - the cloud service that powers Amazon’s groundbreaking Echo devices. We believe voice is the most natural user interface for interacting with technology across many domains. This is a ground floor opportunity to take leadership in a new team helping make Alexa an indispensable part of the home.

As a Senior Product Manager-Technical in the Alexa Household team, you will create the product strategy and vision, defining key features, and product roadmap that incrementally builds to the larger vision with speed and quality. You will possess a solid grasp of technical issues to collaborate with and earn the trust of your engineering team. In addition to product responsibilities, you will need to be willing to roll-up-your-sleeves and do what it takes to contribute to the success of the program.

This role is inherently cross-functional -- you will work closely with engineering, design, operations, finance and executive teams to bring features to market and develop and grow business opportunities for Amazon. The successful candidate will be highly analytical, able to work well in a matrix organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality, simple products and applications that customers cannot do without.
We are looking for someone with a real passion for team work, hustle, good communication, creative problem solving, learning, and having fun.

    • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products with speed and quality
    • Experience coordinating complex product development cycles and software development schedules
    • Broad technical breadth and depth including familiarity with mobile technology, web services, and cloud application infrastructure
