    As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will work in an Agile/Scrum environment to design, develop, test, and deploy distributed machine learning systems. You will collaborate closely with Machine Learning researchers to influence our overall strategy. A successful candidate will have an established background in engineering highly scalable cloud systems, writing modular well-tested code, and engineering for pervasive automation. You will be a team lead with a responsibility to coach and mentor, along with defining the technical road-map for the team.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Develop and maintain a large-scale Machine Learning pipeline written mostly in Python.
    · Implement systems and processes to increase test coverage and real-time feedback on system health.
    · Work with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility.
    · Ability to mentor junior engineers through code and design reviews.

    Basic Qualifications

    · BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
    · 7+ years of industry experience in either machine learning, big data, distributed systems or analytics systems.
    · Programming in Python/C/C++/Scala.
    · Experience building scalable infrastructure or distributed systems for commercial online services.
    · Desire to write high quality, maintainable, readable and testable code.
    · Sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    · Mastery in one or more of the following languages and frameworks: Python/Apache Spark/Tensorflow/Keras/AWS.
    · Highly proficient in Linux/Unix & bash scripting, build systems, CI/CD.
    · Experience with design for scalability, performance, and reliability in a cloud environment.
    · Demonstrated leadership abilities in an engineering environment in driving operational excellence and best practices.
    · Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts.
    · Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment.
    · Contributions to open source projects.
