Creating reliable, scalable, and high performance products requires exceptional technical expertise, a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science, and practical experience building large-scale distributed systems. This person has thrived and succeeded in delivering high quality technology products/services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift fast.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
  • 8+ years experience managing software development teams, ideally with some hands-on architectural or distributed systems experience
  • Technical experience in Java, C#, C++.
  • Experience designing and building scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems for commercial online services.
  • Leadership experience in an engineering environment in driving operational excellence and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS, Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.
  • Mastery of the tools of the trade, including a variety of modern programming languages (Java, JavaScript, C/C++, Objective C) and open-source technologies (Spring, Hibernate)
  • A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
  • A track record of communicating well with executives and non-technical leaders
